March is National Women’s History Month. The #EntertainDC Office recognizes the great contributions that women have made to our nation and to our home, Washington, DC. We are extremely honored to congratulate the District's first two-term female Mayor, Muriel Bowser, on her push and fight for equal rights! The people of the District have been fighting for equal rights for more than 200 years and for the first time since 1993, a House committee marked up a proposal to make D.C. the 51st U.S. state.
We are also grateful for Mayor Bowser's unwavering support of the District's creative community. Go-Go music is now the official music of DC, thanks to Mayor Bowser, the DC Council and community leaders. This important legislation calls for the implementation of a program to support, preserve, and archive Go-Go music and its history. We are extremely proud of this historic moment for the city’s creative culture!
This month, our city is hosting amazing events that honor the contribution of women to our creative community and we invite you to join the celebration. Please check out the "Join Us" section for more information. Follow us on the social media platforms below to keep up with our community!

In turn, members can qualify for higher paying jobs and therefore pave a pathway to the middle class. On the first Thursday of each month, come out for IATSE's Open House located at the Local 22 office in Washington, DC. For more information, click HERE.
